[attr="class","Elron-rules-box"] [attr="class","Elron-rules-title"]ElrOn Posting Etiquette - As stated in the rules, a certain amount of consistency is expected among all posts. All IC posts are expected to be in third person, past or present tense. DMs are exempt from this rule overall, but all posts or parts of a post relating to an NPC must also follow this rule. So if one part of your DM post is explaining the player's surroundings and the other part is an NPC interacting with the player, the NPCs portion must be in third person past/present tense as if it were it's own post. If you are a DM and have a character you're using as an NPC (in a campaign/quest/mission and not as a player), then their post must be made on their separate account.
[break][break] When in a thread with one or more people, it's expected to tag them the post. If all participants are in the Discord server, pinging them in #tag or #ping-dm-or-staff is also expected. If there's a participant who's not on the Discord, don't pressure them to join, and save the Discord pinging for whoever is in the server. - Abbreviations:[break]
IC - In Character[break] OOC - Out of Character[break] DM - Dungeon Master[break] NPC - Non-Player Character[break] [break][break]

[attr="class","Elron-rules-box"] [attr="class","Elron-rules-title"]ElrOn Campaign, Quest, and Mission Etiquette - When starting a campaign, quest, or mission thread with a party of players, the first post and thread creator must be the DM. The title of the thread doesn't have to be the title of the campaign/quest/mission, but it's recommended. They can start the thread by setting up the surroundings the players are in, or anything else. At the bottom of the post, information of the campaign/quest/mission must be present. This includes the campaign/quest/mission title if the thread isn't titled as such and its summary. The DM also decides the posting order, or works out an agreement with the players. Either way, the DM will have the posting order at the bottom of the post as well, with all participants (including themself) tagged.
[break][break] When the thread is posted, if the DM and the next person to post are both on the Discord server, it's expected that the DM will post in the #tag channel to whoever can post next. This double tagging system is expected of everyone who is on this site and in the Server. When it comes time to ping the DM, ping them in the #ping-dm-or-staff channel. Do not ping them in the shoutbox, as that's reserved for staff only.

[attr="class","Elron-rules-box"] [attr="class","Elron-rules-title"]ElrOn Plotters - Since everyone has an OOC or DM account that their characters are under, there is a limit to one plotting thread per person. This means that regardless of how many characters or NPCs you have, you're only permitted one plotting thread. How you organize this thread is up to you. It could be your OOC/DM account posting first then each separate account after that, or you could have it all in one post, or any other ideas you come up with. As long as it's in one thread. Having a plotting thread is optional.

[attr="class","Elron-rules-box"] [attr="class","Elron-rules-title"]ElrOn Trackers - Trackers can be used for tracking threads, travel progress, relationships, and almost anything else. Though you should not track known or active spells here, as those go in the inventory. Trackers work just like plotters, as you're only allowed one per person. How you organize your tracking thread and what you track in it is entirely up to you. Having a tracking thread is optional.

[attr="class","Elron-rules-box"] [attr="class","Elron-rules-title"]ElrOn Inventories - Inventory threads are mandatory since applications are locked upon approval and updates have to be requested. Much like plotters and trackers, there is a limit to one inventory thread per person, with each character having their own post. This post will contain their inventory, which you can edit at will whenever you're logged into their account. Inventories are also useful for those who need to keep track of spells, and it's recommended that all who are able to use spells put aside a part of the inventory to keep track of all known and active spells.
[break][break] DMs with NPCs that need inventory tracking should be done in the DMZ, so players can't see an NPC's inventory. DMZ inventory threads work just like a players. Each DM can only have one inventory thread, with each NPC having their own post if they need it.
